To assist health care teams who are in dire need of supplies, Barco launched its COVID-19 donation program. The company has pledged to donate 10,000 scrubs per month for the duration of the pandemic. In less than 48 hours, Barco surpassed 20,000 requests for scrubs. The surge in donation requests was backed by strong media relations, and within 72 hours the agency’s efforts resulted in over one billion impressions – aided in part by a generous ‘shout out’ from “Grey’s Anatomy” television writer/producer Shonda Rhimes and her production company, who shared the link to the donation program with millions of followers on social media.
