The Pollack Group, an independent creative, digital, marketing, and public relations agency, is hiring an experienced senior account manager who is currently located in the Greater New York City area. In this role, you will work on various client accounts and report to their respective supervisor or account lead. You will collaborate within the team to provide sound counsel and strategic recommendations to clients to drive results and help them meet their business objectives. You will have a deep understanding of traditional and emerging public relations and marketing tactics. This is an exciting opportunity to impact companies, brands, and organizations in consumer-facing and B2B spaces.
Essential Functions
- Lead and manage account teams on diverse client accounts, strategically developing PR, marketing, and digital media solutions to meet their objectives.
- Execute and manage media relations efforts on behalf of clients.
- Develop written materials to include messaging documents, talking points, news releases, profiles, bylined articles, and other press materials.
- Develop media relations strategies, goals, targets, and pitch angles.
- Plan and support communication activities related to conferences, awards, speakers’ bureau, and other special events.
- Develop and update presentation decks and reporting documents.
- Serve as a supporting day-to-day client contact during program execution.
- Serve as a subject matter expert across accounts, demonstrating industry, cultural, or media-driven knowledge that directly and indirectly affects the client.
- Lead the development of long-term client plans and program recommendations.
- Participate with senior team leaders in client meetings.
- Research and develop new business proposals.
- Project manage with agency team members to leverage additional agency services, such as creative and production.
Required Experience
- 3-4 years of previous PR agency experience directly supporting PR and marketing efforts for public and/or private companies and brands.
- BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented work style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, presentation skills, and detail-oriented. Demonstrated experience crafting newsworthy pitches, releases, and contributed articles.
- A strong understanding of the media landscape and the ability to guide a team to land prominent media placements.
- Experience managing junior staff.
- Ability to work against deadlines.
- Experience in leveraging data through media and digital channels.
- Knowledgeable in the traditional/digital/social media landscape.
- Keen understanding of integrated communications strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; works effectively within a team, demonstrating coordination, communication, and problem-solving contribution.
- Flexible approach: has the ability to change priorities against changing client and team needs.
- Knowledge of and experience working with Cision, Muck Rack, etc. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, Slack, and/or other tools and technology.

What You’ll Do…
Support: Work with agency account teams to support various client accounts
Learn: Firsthand agency experience, how to apply your hard and soft skills to real-world scenarios and businesses
Create: Support the agency’s work, from digital content creation, media relations, and production
Research: Competitive research, data analytics, and insights to support everything from business development to influencer outreach
Contribute: Interns are encouraged and welcome to participate in agency brainstorms, strategy sessions, staff meetings, team-building events, and more
TPG Interns Should Be…
· Creative – Critical and creative thinkers who can add new perspectives and insights to any project
· Detail-Oriented – Able to work independently and on a team as well as multi-task and manage time efficiently
· Passionate about learning
· Experienced – Skills that are preferred (but not required) include: Social media management, graphic design, web design and backend CMS, photo and video editing, copywriting, media relations writing and pitching. Agency experience is a plus, but not required

Hours/Details:
· 15-25 hours/week
· Hybrid schedule, with at least one in-office day per week
· Please note, prior and similar agency experience will be reviewed and considered and will inform if the position will be a paid internship. If there is no prior similar agency experience this will be an unpaid internship. We compensate for commuting expenses.
