Facebook rolls out new video tools, plus Instagram and IGTV scheduling feature – TechCrunch

Big updates are here for Facebook and Instagram. Facebook made updates for live video broadcasting and created “Watch Party,” a co-watching feature giving the ability for Pages to schedule a party in advance, support video “replays,” the ability to tag business partners in branded content, and new analytics. For Instagram, its new feature will let publishers and creators schedule their Instagram Feed and IGTV content for up to six months in advance.

NBCUniversal’s streaming service is called Peacock – The Verge

NBCUniversal’s streaming service has revealed its name called Peacock. The name is based on NBC’s iconic logo that sits at the bottom of people’s TV screens when shows play. The streaming service will offer original series and feature movies from the Universal branch of NBCUniversal. Peacock will launch in April 2020 with over 15,000 hours of content.

Snapchat makes your selfies more animated with new 3D effects – Engadget

3D filters are now available on Snapchat. The app launched 3D Camera Mode, a new feature letting users take Snaps that can change perspective and appearance as you move your smartphone around. This new mode only works with an iPhone X and above and be viewed by anyone on the app. Android users will have to wait to create their own 3D selfies, but can enjoy viewing their friends’ creations in the meantime.
