The agency drove awareness to client BlueGreen Water Technologies (BlueGreen)’s first toxic algae treatment in the United States, successfully cleaning up Ohio’s Lake Chippewa against harmful algal blooms. BlueGreen deployed its proprietary EPA-approved product, Lake Guard™ Blue, a short and simple application resulting in the collapse of the toxic cyanobacteria species that contaminated Chippewa Lake, and restored the lake’s ecological balance. Chippewa Lake was restored in a matter of hours and reopened to the public one day after the application of Lake Guard Blue, resulting in the cleanest August in three years. The treatment received notable coverage in Cleveland News 5, Jewish Business Journal, Naples Daily News and many other publications, netting over 2,975,000 earned media impressions.
